Best Cake Mixer You'll Ever Buy

It is the Kitchen Aid
I'm just going to drop this right here. Kitchen Aid is the best kitchen mixer available for the home baker on the market. Now, I promise you, this is not a  sponsored opinion. I am not getting paid for this review.

Although it'd be nice, I am not receiving any gifts from the KitchenAid company. This is an honest testimony, out of my own experiences of over 30 years from actually using the Kitchen Aid brand of
mixers.

Yes, there are others out there and I've tried nearly all of them. I've used the Hamilton Beach and the Sunbeam. I had myself a little Black & Decker handheld mixer.  I even remember using one of those manual rotary egg beaters to make  a cake, but they were hell to use for cookie dough.

The one thing all of those mixers had in common, is that at some time they all were replaced. Once you buy a Kitchen Aid, it will be many years before you'll be replacing it.

When I got married, I couldn't afford to buy a Kitchen Aid, so I bought one of those Black & Decker 2-speed, low wattage, hand mixers. The kind that struggles through cookie dough.

But, it gave me its life for a year to produce enough cakes to buy that Kitchen Aid. That little 2-speed, hand held conked out on me the day I made my last batch of cakes.

Cake production at its finest hour I had with that little Black & Decker handheld.  Now, I had enough to buy my first Kitchen Aid.

The Best Mixer You Will Ever Buy

Picture
My first introduction to the Kitchen Aid was through my grandmother. She used that Kitchen Aid from around 1970's up through the mid 90's, just before her dementia began to set in. I believe that Kitchen Aid is still floating around
in one of my cousin's cabinets.

It was from watcher her, and then going on to using her  Kitchen Aid, to having my own, I've  learned all of the wonderful, creative things that the Kitchen Aid mixer
could do for the baker.

I've made cake batters, cookie dough, bread dough, tart dough, pasta dough, whipped cream, mousse cream, buttercream icings, cake, pie and candy fillings.
Picture
Still working for me at nearly 30 years old.
After using my grandmother's, I must confess I became a Kitchen Aid snob.  Every brand of mixer I used after that, did not measure up to the power that the Kitchen Aid had.  I found it hard to use my mother's handheld after that first go.
To this day, I still own and use  my very first same Kitchen Aid mixer.  Oh yes, I still use my old trusty original Kitchen Aid. It's sitting side by side with the new one
 I've bought myself.
Picture
My Kitchen Aid mixers have been such dependable workhorses for me.
This is why I call it the "Best Mixer You Will Ever Buy". With the exception of the Hobart brand, manufactured for the commercial market, I've been using the Kitchen Aid brand of mixers exclusively since the day I bought my first one in 1992.

It's been nearly 30 years since and I still have, and use my first Kitchen Aid mixer, sitting right next to my candy apple red jewel  Kitchen Aid of a mixing machine.
Since I'd bought my first Kitchen Aid in 1992, I have never had to replace a mixer since.

Really, It's An Investment

My assumption is that you'll be investing a lot of time creating masterpieces out of  your own kitchens, so buying a mixer that can handle the job is priority.

Wanting a guarantee of your mixer's longevity is just as important.  Yet, you don't want to go over your budget. Or worse, buy a mixer not suitable to your needs. Just consider this, when you're out there buying a mixer, you are making an investment.
Picture
Whether you’re a rookie or a semi-pro in the kitchen, a reliable mixer is essential for tackling a host of food prep tasks.  The price of one of these mixers can run you from $250 to over $400, all depending on your baking needs.

If I'm spending anything over $200 on a mixer, it's gonna be an investment. And I want my investment to not only meet my needs, but last for the duration I need it to, as well.
Inside every bakeshop that I have ever worked in, the Kitchen Aid mixer was sure to be used throughout the day, every day.

In the bakeshop, the Kitchen Aid mixer, generally used for smaller jobs, could hold up to the same rigorous hours of production as the commercially branded Hobart.  That speaks volume of this machine's consistent dependability.

Of all, or any, of the home mixers you hear about on the market, Kitchen Aid is the only brand that every pastry chef that I've ever known and worked for, have themselves personally owned their Kitchen Aids for over a ten year period.

And when one of them does buy a new mixer, it is always another Kitchen Aid. Sitting next to their old one. Just like mine.
